For thirty years, digital UI design operated within fixed rectangular bounds. CSS grids, flexboxes, and viewport units were designed to squeeze content into flat glass sheets. Spatial computing dismantles these boundaries, treating digital components as volumetric light objects with physical weight and environmental occlusion.

Gaze + Pinch: The New Input Equilibrium

Precision mouse pointers and touch gestures are being replaced by eye-gaze tracking and sub-millisecond pinch intents. Designing interfaces for non-tactile input demands visual feedback loops that respond to intention before physical execution occurs.

Materiality and Real-Time Raytracing
